Travel Along the Temple Railway During the Almond Blossom Festival
The magic of the Almond Blossom Festival returns in
2026, offering a unique travel experience along the historic
Temple Railway. During the final weekend of the Festival,
Fondazione FS will activate special train services allowing tourists and visitors to easily reach
Agrigento, the
Valley of the Temples, and
Porto Empedocle. An unmissable opportunity to experience Sicily in bloom through one of the most scenic railway routes in Italy.
A Journey Through History, Landscapes, and Traditions
The special trains of 2026 will offer a direct connection between:
- Agrigento Centrale
- Tempio di Vulcano (Valley of the Temples entrance)
- Porto Empedocle Succursale
Although these are not historic trains, the route remains the same as the famous Temple Railway, offering unique views of blooming almond trees, archaeological sites, and coastal landscapes. Services will operate on
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March 2026.
