You will be guided by the last descendants of the La Rocca family, who for centuries managed the snow trade, in a unique journey through culture, nature, sweets and sorbets.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"section-title py-3\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<h3>The \u201cStone Giants\u201d<\/h3>\r\n\t\t\t\t<hr\/>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"section-content\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<p>The \u201cStone Giants\u201d on <strong>Monte Cammarata<\/strong>, the <em>neviere<\/em> (snow basins), are documented structures in Sicily from the 15th century and built for snow conservation. During the snowmaking process, the \u201c<em>nevaioli<\/em>\u201d sang songs that are rooted in the Arab-Persian tradition and were dedicated to pagan gods such as the Goddess Moon.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<p>The <strong>various desserts<\/strong> such as the white <strong>pasta &#8216;cu ghiazzu&#8217;<\/strong>, the <strong>ice cream per piece<\/strong> and a little all the enogastronomic products of the territory reflect these ancestral rites.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<p>The same neviere have almost elliptical or crescent shape and for the nevaioli they were true places of worship. Furthermore, one of the techniques used for snow conservation can be traced back to <strong>ancient Egypt<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"section-title py-3\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<h3>Guided tours: Tour of &#8220;La Via del Ghiaccio&#8221;<\/h3>\r\n\t\t\t\t<hr\/>\r\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<li><strong>Morning<\/strong>:<\/li>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<li><strong>Tasting<\/strong> at the \u201cLa Suite del Gusto\u201d restaurant of the typical <em>pastry &#8216;cu Jazzu&#8217;<\/em>.
