The Sicilian Region has recently reconsidered its decision regarding increases in ticket prices for cultural sites, opting for a gradual implementation of the new rates. The Councillor for Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity has issued a new decree, amending the one previously signed on December 22, which initially proposed a 30% increase starting from January 1.
This change was prompted by a request from the regional administration, urging a reconsideration of the impact on visitors to avoid discouraging cultural site attendance. The new provision establishes that the increases in the costs of tickets for regional monumental sites will be phased in gradually, with a 50% increase starting from January 1, 2024, and the remaining 50% starting from January 1, 2025.

Here are the new rates for entrance tickets to the Valley of the Temples and other cultural sites in the province.
🎫 Pietro Griffo Regional Archaeological Museum: full €9, concessions €4.50.
🎫 Valley of the Temples Archaeological Park: full €12, concessions €6 (including the exhibition “The Virgin of the Rocks – Leonardo’s Workshop,” which has been extended until January 15th).
🎫 “Luigi Pirandello” Library Museum: full €5, concessions €2.50.
🎫 Roman Villa of Durrueli: full €2, concessions €1.
🎫 Monte Kronio Antiquarium – San Calogero’s Stoves and Tranchina Archaeological Area in Sciacca: full €3, concessions €1.50.
🎫 Monte Adranone Archaeological Area and Palazzo Panitteri Archaeological Museum in Sambuca: full €3, concessions €1.50.
